Which Fat for Which Job

• Daily handi — sunflower or canola.
• Deep frying economics — soya bean; neutral and priced for volume.
• Tarka, halwa, parathas with tradition — ghee, in moderation; nothing else tastes like it.

Buying Tips

The 4.5L tins are the family standard — per litre they undercut small bottles substantially. Mixed strategy is common: a big neutral oil plus a small ghee tin for finishing.
